The Downtown Business Alliance and Ready to Work started a partnership to employ the homeless while sprucing up Stockton’s main business corridor.
For the next several weeks, RTW clients will be busy repainting curbs throughout the downtown area to make it easier for motorists to understand the rules of the road. The City of Stockton is pitching in with training, making this a public-private partnership that could be replicated in any city interested in helping the homeless while providing a benefit to residents.
Our clients are out there three days a week working to make Stockton a better place. Say hi to them if you see them. They’re proud to be a part of making our county’s largest city look better!
