Board of director members have extensive experience managing nonprofit entities as well as private, for-profit businesses. Board of director members have personally committed to financially supporting Ready to Work program goals.
President Anthony Barkett is an attorney with more than 20 years experience in real estate development, construction, leasing, and financing. He is also a farmer of walnuts, olives, and cherries, and a developer of solar systems throughout California.
Vice President Dea Spanos Berberian is co-owner and director-secretary of the board of the Spanos Corporation, a construction, land development, and apartment management enterprise headquartered in Stockton, CA.
Secretary David Rishwain is the managing attorney and shareholder of a four-member law firm primarily practicing in the areas of business, real estate, and commercial law throughout Northern California.
Chief Financial Officer William Trezza is the chief executive officer of BAC Community Bank headquartered in Stockton, CA.
Rupert Hall is the president of Golden Bear Insurance Company located in Stockton, CA. His company offers lines of both personal and corporate insurance.
Executive Director
Executive Director Jon Mendelson was hired in January 2017, and has been instrumental in developing Ready to Work’s programs. He has overseen rapid re-housing, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing programs for the homeless, as well as overseeing support service operations for the populations residing in those housing modes.
The executive director is a participant and subcommittee liaison for the San Joaquin County Homeless Task Force; a participating member of the Stockton-San Joaquin County Continuum of Care, serving as the coordinator of the 2017 Point in Time Unsheltered Homeless Count; and a commissioner for the Housing Authority of the County of San Joaquin.
